• Rich in vitamins A and C, and flavonoids, chicory is a mine of antioxidants valuable for their role in the fight against aging and against cardiovascular disease.
• Chicory contains about 3 g of fiber per 100 g. Some liken it to a prebiotic. The roots are full of inulin, with a positive effect on the rate of bad (LDL) cholesterol and blood sugar. In addition, it stimulates the intestinal transit.
• It does not contain caffeine which is beneficial for sleep, stress and high blood pressure.
• Due to its depurative and draining effects, chicory helps detoxify the liver by stimulating the production of bile that allows the evacuation of toxins. It is not recommended for people who are sensitive to gallstones.
